Dr. David Benson

The Dauterive Hospital family of physicians continues to grow with the addition of Board-Certified Urologist David Benson, M.D.,who will treat adult and pediatric urologic needs. His practice, Queen City Urology, will be located at 602 N. Lewis Ave., Suite 100A, on the hospital campus. The office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“I am excited to be part of the New Iberia community and to be home again,” said Dr. Benson, a native of Shreveport, who graduated in 1982 from LSU-Baton Rouge and LSU-New Orleans Medical School.

He completed his residency in Urology at the Medical College of Georgia in 1987. Professional memberships include: Fellow of the American College of Surgeons; member of the American Urologic Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, the American Brachytherapy Society, and the American Thermotherapy Society.
